Zielsetzung

The students... 

  • become familiar with the different components of the internal exam and appropriate exam strategies. 
  • develop and activate a wider range of vocabulary. 
  • improve accuracy in grammar. 
  • apply all four language skills at C1 level. 
  • develop awareness of levels of formality in English.

Lernarrangement Semester course of 2 lessons per week (1-2 hours' homework per week) 
Präsenzregelung Regular attendance obligatory 
Leistungsnachweis The PHTG internal C1 level test takes place twice a year, at the end of each semester (January and June). 
Literatur
  • Material will be handed out during the course. 
Sonstiges A solid B2 level is required. In order to become familiar with all components and have sufficient practice of the necessary exam skills, the attendance of two consecutive courses (HS+FS) is strongly recommended for students who have not yet worked on a C1 level. This course will also be of use to those students who intend to take the Cambridge CAE exam. Regular and active class attendance is expected.
